Diesel fumes from the ports of Los Angeles are elevating the risk of cancer not only adjacent to the ports but even 15 miles inland.

The health effects of diesel fumes from the port extend beyond cancer. It also causes premature deaths of people aged 30 and older, asthma attacks, lost workdays and days of minor restricted activity.
